Radio, songs and CarPlay

Radio from your playlist, songs named as they play, lyrics, and Strand in the car.

Radio

Radio stations in your playlist are recognised by the playlist's own flag, a name starting "Radio:", or a category called Radio. Add them to Home with Add Shelf then Live TV then Radio. On Apple TV, radio keeps playing when you go back to the Home Screen.

What's that song?

On radio, songs are named as they play. Save Song adds one to a Strand Radio playlist in Apple Music, or to your Shazam library on the Mac or without an Apple Music subscription.
On a TV channel, More then Identify Song listens and names it.
In films and shows, Shazam names the songs as you watch. They're listed under Music in the player's info panel and on the title's page.

Song identification needs the Internal player. Strand sends Apple an audio fingerprint, never a recording.

Lyrics

When a radio song has timed lyrics, Show Lyrics puts them on screen in time with the music, in full screen.

CarPlay

On iPhone, Strand's radio is in CarPlay with three tabs: Favourites, Recent and Stations. Open Live TV on the phone once first, so it has your stations to show.
